About me

Hi, I’m Aida! I was born and raised in Ethiopia, a country rich in history, culture, and human stories. From an early age, I was fascinated by the ways people live, celebrate, and connect across different communities. That curiosity led me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Travel and Tourism in the United States, where I also had the opportunity to study abroad in South Africa. Experiencing life in such diverse environments deepened my appreciation for the similarities that unite us, even amid vast differences.

I continued my journey with a Master’s in Business Administration, focusing on Tourism, in Switzerland, where I explored the broader social, cultural, and economic aspects of travel and hospitality. Since moving to Germany over ten years ago, I have continued to cultivate this curiosity, through my travels within the continent.

Today, as an aspiring travel journalist, writer, documentary photographer and videographer, I focus on the human side of travel in Europe. Through words, images, and videos, I aim to document the everyday lives of people I meet, their traditions, and the personal experiences that connect us across cultures.

I am currently building my portfolio of editorial content and hope to collaborate with other publications and media platforms in the future, sharing stories that celebrate the people, places, and cultures of Europe, always with a focus on human connection, authenticity, and thoughtful storytelling.
